Last year, I had the luxury of working on Oracle’s Real Application Testing product.

As it says on the tin it’s quite neat and work’s very well. We used this to prove our OLTP performance on Amazon web services(AWS) EC2 hosted Oracle database.

we were able to capture our production workloads running on a Exadata X2-2 quarter rack.

Followed by replaying it in AWS’s environment.
